Another large issue with moving times back affects the students who work jobs after school. After school jobs could be a main source of income for a family, or just the student. Regardless, the job is crucial. Moving start times back could have the potential to force the student to quit their job in order to make more room for homework, family time, and other after school activities (“Eight Major Obstacles”). If the student has to quit their job, it could be detrimental to them or their family if they rely on the income. Even if the student doesn’t have to quit the job, they may have to cut back on the amount of hours they can work which would still have effects on them (“Eight Major Obstacles”).
