The thoughts of those looking into the affairs of the NSA think the government took a great idea, and honestly the only idea with today’s technological warfare, and got greedy with how much information they have collected and need to be watched very carefully. The most important information for any human being is the information we choose to keep private, it can be the most devastating information in the wrong hands and the United States Government is holding that exact information in bulk, with your name on a yellow folder.

This did nothing to stop the NSA, they continued to work in secret listening in without any restrictions or laws with the idea that it was to better the people. The Electronic Frontier foundation states that in 2005 the NSA was collecting data from major communications companies which violate the privacy safeguards put in by the U.S. congress and constitution. The EFF has been able to collect information through whistle blowers and in 2013 the media articles proving the reports of 2005 showing the government got everything that passed through all domestic fiber optic cables, the excuse once caught was under the Patriot act the government can collect any information they deem necessary for national security.
