INTRODUCTION
This chapter will examine the various methods and techniques for carrying out the study. It has included the research design, the population, the sample size, sampling techniques, the data collection instrument and the procedures for data analysis.
3.1 AREA OF STUDY
The research obtained information from both primary and secondary sources of data for the purpose of this study.
Primary sources: the research collected data by the conduction of interviews, administering of questionnaires to respondents and various observations were made as regards to the study.
Secondary sources: I also made use of textbooks relevant for the study from the library, journals, the internet and other useful materials needed.
3.3 POPULATION
The targeted population which I was Management, staff/ employees and customers of the Manaya Krobo Rural bank Limited, Akuse Branch who are also involved in playing the role as a rural bank providing services. They involved Men and Women, the Young and the Old who are part of the population.
3.4 SAMPLE SIZE
A sample is the unit selected from the population of interest so that by studying the sample, the researcher could generalize the key results back to the population from which they were chosen ( Trochim, 2006). Based on this, a sample size of thirty (30) was used for the research which includes the management, staff/ employees and customers of the rural bank. Among the size of thirty (30) people, twenty (20) are customers. This sample was chosen in order to minimize cost.
3.5 SAMPLING TECHNIQES
I used the Purposive Sampling and Probability Sampling in the data collection process. I therefore combined these two sampling techniques in my study.
With the Purposive sampling, the management of the bank was purposively chosen, administered questionnaires and interviewed because of its administrative role and it being the main source of information relevant to the topic.
Probability sampling which utilizes some form of
