Case Title: The Shipping Industry Accounting Team

Case summaries must be submitted before class, on the days they are called in, to receive marks.

A virtual team was formed here.

STRENGTHS:
Environment: There was no strengths
Design: The group was small and members of the group had a similar position in the group.
Process: There was no strengths

WEAKNESSES:
Environment: There was no reward for team achievements. There was no good way of communication between the members that they all agree upon.
Design: The team had four members that is not productive and it makes it easier for the members to take sides in case of an disagreement. All the members are in the same position so there is absolutely no diversity in the team. The accounting processes have not been unified by all of companies around the country and wastes a lot of time for collaborating information, so all the tasks assigned to the team are so difficult for them to deal with.
Processes: The levels of team development were not properly established. The teams never got the chance to physically meet other teams and get to know each other and know their goals and achievements and their roles. The team cohesion was not enough between the team members,
