Colombia is a South American country located over the imaginary Equator line and is known for its warm and happy culture and also for a violent and complicated background. Thanks to its position in the globe, Colombia doesn’t have climatic seasons what let it has a warm weather in the majority of the cities and an appropriate ground for an enriching wildlife. Nowadays, Colombia has become a potential country for making business and travelling around, with places like Bogota, Medellin, Barranquilla and Cartagena, many people around the world seems interested for knowing these cities and take advantage of the desire of Colombians to work and make big things, the opportunities that offers its land and its strategic position for trading any kind of product or service.
The official language of my country is Spanish, not like Spain Spanish but it is Spanish and it is said that Spanish from Bogota is the most elegant type of spoken Spanish. Of course in Colombia there are a lot of slangs because people from each city have a unique accent and use different slangs. For example, the “Bogotanos” are more calmed talking; the “paisas” from Medellin have a very marked accent and use words like “parce”, “ome” that means man or dude and the “costenos” from Barranquilla or Cartagena, use many abbreviations and invented words. The city also influences the type of interaction that helps for making a business. For example, Bogotanos are more prevented with the new people but as soon you get their trust they can be very nice to you; paisas are more outgoing and they will serve you since the beginning of the relation, this made them very good for businesses.
