Time Management
College life can be a very exciting time in a student’s life. Students are taking the initiative to better themselves, whether it is for a personal goal, a passion for a better career, or a choice for those who want to gain a higher level of education. Adjusting to college life can be quite the challenge, if students don’t manage their time accordingly. The college class is now a class of people ranging from the new student, to students who have been out of school for years, and have to juggle a family life, that includes a spouse, children, and or fulltime job. It is important to have ones personal life on a fine schedule, and to make family understand the importance of having adequate time to study and for homework. This planning and preparation will make students successful. It can be difficult to run ones life on a fine schedule, so until a student gets accustomed to the schedule, planning and preparation might be difficult, and even stressful.
School, along with my family, is my number one priority. I do not miss class, I am not late, I turn all my homework, and I pay attention in class. I am determined to succeed, I’m thirty-four years old and I feel this is my last shot to complete college and still be able to work in my field.
My most difficult time management weakness is setting enough time aside for homework. I am a full time mom and fiancé. My children are involved in extra curricular activities, and I still have my duties to tend to at home. Sometimes I find my school work getting pushed on the back burner so that I can tend to my family.
My best time managemnt advice is to plan accordingly, and efficiently. I find it extremely difficult to stay organized if I do not. Managing time wisely consists of getting enough rest, eating properly, planning ahead, and balancing out college and personal life. Also, writing everything down in a planner is a great way to keep track of all

Time management is one of the top reasons that made me continue to put going back to school off for a couple of years. No matter how many times I talked myself into it, I just couldn't see myself taking time away from my children and husband to spend in a classroom. However, by setting a schedule for certain things I am still able to enjoy the time with my family. “Balanced with the stress of the added responsibilities, students have reported spending time with their families as the biggest stress reducer” (Canales-Gonzales & Kranz, 2008).…

On one hand you have your students whose days become so hectic with school, sports, and extra curricular events that they run out of time to do everything they need to accomplish. My average day is just one example of how chaotic a student’s life can get. My day begins at four a.m. with piles of homework, after a quick shower to wake myself up. Once I finish the homework, I get ready and head to early morning basketball practice at 5:30. Next, after I clean up from practice, the dreaded day of school begins. As the periods slowly pass, a pile of homework quickly accumulates with a one-page essay in history, 50 problems in calculus, and a thousand-word essay in English class. Then the grueling school day comes to an end and I begin the next part of my day by attending club meetings and after school practices…
