Common objects used by littles are diapers, pacifiers, baby blankets, baby bottles, and plush animals. Like “security blankets”, these objects are used as a form of comfort. Infantile adults also tend to regress emotionally and behaviorally. Those who live with infantilism are often much more sensitive and temperamental than typical adults. Like actual children, littles work better with a strict schedule for baths, times to eat, naps, and bedtimes because it serves as a form of reassurance. Littles often search on internet forums to find what are called “caregivers”. Caregivers nurture, discipline, and provide for littles like a normal parent of a child would. Littles typically have the issue of being too dependent and submissive while caregivers are usually too controlling and overbearing. Relationships between littles and caregivers can be romantic or not; however, romantic relationships are more common. Littles are most commonly female, while caregivers are usually male; however, transgender, genderfluid, and non-binary adults can also be involved in infantilism
