We tend to use what is called the “sandwich technique”. This is when information is provided by the buddy by starting with positive information then negative then back to positive again. Once all of the feedback is given, a plan is then produced by the buddy to point out areas that need to improve. For example, when I first started working for Havering, my manager was my buddy. In one particular meeting, she made a plan showing that I needed to improve on my minute taking and minute writing as I was missing out some important pieces of information that was spoken about in the meeting.
