I have been asked to describe how how a fashion trend is influenced in its development .
As I can see the biggest impact on trend do celebrities, movies and singers.
In the 20th century the same thing happened.
Fashion in the past
The cylinder hat
The cylinder hat was mainly worn from the letter part of the 18 th to the middle of the 20th century. Today the hat is usually worn as a fashion statement or for special occasions in conservative circles.
Walking stick or Cane
For the past 50 years walking sticks have been growing in popularity as collectors items, for sticks and canes, which actually have no real function, express the social rank of their bearer: the marshal’s baton, the sceptre, the bishop’s crosier, the judge’s staff or an officer’s stick.
Impact
Crowd watch clips and movies with fashionable celebrities, viewers like their style and want to look like them and follow the trend which was made by them.
Example: Kid Cudi used to wear leather jackets. He took part in creation the trend on it. Impact in the past
Movies about gangsters, criminal and mafias create trend on suits. The movies have influenced the fashions as people want to copy what they see on screens such as the smart suits like in “The God Father”.
Comparing of brands
They looks pretty the same, but difference in quality.
Stefano Ricci:
£1,550
Vans:
£45
Comparison of two brands
The expensive one is Stefano Ricci and the cheaper one Vans.
Vans change there trends more regularly than Stefano Ricci. They change the fashion through out the year.
The demand on Vans is bigger because more people can afford it.
The volume of sales Vans is higher than Stefano Ricci, but the profit margin for Stefano Ricci is higher because of the high price of there products. There are many Vans resellers, it sells in different shops in most cities, to simplify an access for people. Stefano Ricci sells just in official stores and it located just in big well
