Task A: sources of information enable me to update staff handbook.
For me to gain information to update the staff handbook with the current employment laws I could use the following sources.
1) on the internet I can do research about employment law
2) I could read a book on employment laws 3)consult with Trade Unions.

AIII) why employment law exist employment law exist tot ensure that employees know there responsibilities and their rights in the work place. It also make sure that the work place is a safe and healthy environment.
Task B: Your work role.
BI) My terms and conditions of employment is legal document about the work relationship between me and my employer and sign by my self and employer, it talks about my job title, which is I am a apprentice carer in my stationed work place which is Age Concern, Mary Stevens Centre Stourbridge.
Further details in my contract states the fact that I should work 5 days a week, 6 hours a day, earning £2.87 a hour. Being an apprentice carer I am doing a course but at the same time I am putting it at practice. If I were to have a day off work I would have to give more that 48 hours notices or if I don't feel well in the morning to come to work I would have to contact my manger before 9 o'clock to let her know that I will not be coming in on that day, if I am running late getting to work I should also let my manger know. If I were ill/off work for more than 5 days in a row I should get a sick
