III. The Ceremony
A. Where the star is exactly placed
1. Ana Martinez, producer and vice president of media relations at the Walk of Fame, is the one who decides where the stars are placed. (Barnes, 2012)

To get a star, a celebrity, whether fictional or real, must be nominated by anyone, whether it was a manager, a fan, or a relative. A full application should be sent, and after the selection committee accepts him/her, someone, a record label or publicist must agree to pay the $30,000 fee. After these steps are done, it is time for the final step, the ceremony, which fans are welcome to join. The Walk of Fame, consisting of over 2,500 stars, has become an iconic boulevard for the recognition of talented faces that have become a part of their fans’ daily life, whether it was through earphones or television.
