Wal-Mart managers and employees should remember the company’s mission statement when performing their daily jobs. The mission statement is basically what the company is all about. The mission
statement sums the whole company worth and existence up in several words or several sentences. If the company follow what the mission statement is about and practice what they preach, the internal environment in the company will even out and show effectiveness of production externally.
In the two and a half years that I have worked for this company I have learned quite a bit. This business is very prosperous and has a very strategic business plan. Wal-Mart is a fortune 500 company. It’s one of the largest companies in the world. It’s a company that renders services and sells products. This company is well known for their low prices and excellent customer service
One of the major problems within Wal-Mart at the store that I work at is that they are mainly always out of stock of many products. This is a major issue because the products are what keep the customers satisfied and coming to spend their money to make it Wal-Marts money!
Root cause analysis can help Wal-Mart figure out the problem and find a solution to it. There are several steps that Wal-Mart must follow in order for this process to work smoothly bring any success. First this company must determine what happened. Next they must figure out why it happened. After they answer these questions they must come up with a solution of how to reduce the chances of the problem happening again or how to totally eliminate it.
There may be some organizational causes to why this problem has occurred; the system or policy that the employees use daily to conduct their jobs may be faulty. To sum up root cause analysis, first define the problem, collect data, identify possible causes, identify the root cause or causes then implement solutions.
