I do not believe that Amber’s suggestions to Jerome in resigning were appropriate. She was influencing him to resign indirectly by her suggestions. When Jerome asked what she expected him to do, she could have maybe said “think about or let me know what your plans are in going forward?” With amber stating that that he will not be supported by herself and the director, she was already letting Jerome aware that even though he may be innocent, the organization’s reputation was more important than his. Jerome was not offered an option through her suggestions and Amber did not provide a valid reason for her suggestions of Jerome resigning.

Amber as the manager was to investigate the matter to see whether or not the allegations made against her employee were factual and send him on leave as necessary until the investigations were complete. Being that other employee knew of the situation as expressed by Jerome and it being published in the newspaper she could have consulted with Jerome and her director to address the staff members who were concerned through a staff briefing. Her obligations to her clients were to make them aware that the case was under investigation and that there are no proofs that his employee was found guilty if they should inquire. This was an ethical concern for her because if the allegations were true, Jerome would have been in violation of the law and have breached the ethical standards of the organization and as a helping
