Also while watching the “Perfection Ratio” advertisement that use some mainstream song lyrics to draw the viewer's attention.
Wendy's used auditory imagery by using Sir Mix-A-Lot song lyrics "I cannot lie" this song is so mainstream that everyone knows before those lyrics it says "I like big buns”. Those song lyrics were very effective because those lyrics appeal to a larger variety of audiences.
The Wendy's advertisement appeals to the audience's sense of logic. In the advertisement Wendy's uses a very complex and logical set of mathematical equations to symbolize all of the trouble they put into it to finally make the perfect buns. So it is only logical for the consumers to buy this burger with their perfect buns. In the introduction to the Wendy's advertisement, there is a couple attempting to play Jenga while using their old buns and it falls over. Then they proceed to say their new buns put and pull everything together. This is using visual imagery to show how to improve their buns really
are.
Wendy's uses certain vocabulary to draw the viewer's attention in. They do this by using words that appeal to the viewer’s five senses. For example they use a combination of auditory and visual imagery when the quartet starts singing juicy, crispy, melty, and soft. With Wendy's using both Visual and auditory imagery the viewers will have the taste for their buns and remember the "catchy phrase". More vocabulary that isn't normally used every day is tribute, perfection, ratio and who knows being so well rounded could give you the edge. They bring in these words or phrases to catch the viewer's eye and say "That's not usual" and "I think the buns over the trying?"
Wendy's uses emotional appeals when they tell us how much time they took to perfect the recipe of their buns. So the appeal it seems to affect the most is pity. The thoughts that come to mind are "They spent all of this time and use such a complex and logical mathematical equations to perfect their buns, I should at least buy it to test out their hard work”. They visually show the viewers the anger emotion in the scene where the couple is playing Jenga with the old buns. They are mad that the tower fell, so this makes the viewers think the new buns have got to be better than old buns.
Wendy's has effectively convince their viewers that their buns are the very best by using auditory and visual imagery and also through the mainstream appeal to Sir Mix-A-Lot song lyrics. Don't forget about the fury that those old buns gave you by making the Jenga Tower fall! Wendy's logical and emotional appeals persuade the readers to buy their perfect buns.
