What Are The Challenges That Christopher Columbus Faced

It all started from 1451 in the Republic of Genoa, currently known as Italy. Christopher Columbus first went to sea when he was a teenager.He usually participated in small voyages which happen in Mediterranean and Aegean seas which were a calm and relaxing place with a really good weather. His first big voyage happened in 1492.He started from the city of Granada at twelfth may 1492. He and his crew member proceed to find the new landmass for expansion for his king empire. For first few weeks the voyage was smooth, but in the month of August, Christopher Columbus faces many challenges. On August 6 in the afternoon, he realised that the rudder of the boat was damaged which is a really important part of the ship luckily only one of the two rudders was damaged, so they were able to control
After few days they reach to the island of Gomera.Where they restocked there food supply and gunpowder, he carried gun powder because of his experience in which a group of pirates attacked the ship he was travelling in and looted the ship and sank the ship, he had to swim till the coast that’s why he has taken some guns and cannon so they can defend themselves, when they get attack by pirate who tries to loot his ship. They sailed day and night to find new land. One day it drizzled without wind and Christopher knew that it was a sign of land, but it turned out to be a small island which was uninhabited and unloved.After a few days, one of Christopher’s crew member saw a light which was looking like a light of a wax candle moving up and down. Some crew members where certain that it was a land. Christopher strictly ordered them to keep the forecast of the ship toward the light and keep moving in the direction of the light after going in the direction of light , he discovered a new island, and it was inhabitant by people he named the island
