it does is make them bored. However, for me, math isn’t like prison or being held hostage. Instead, it’s an opportunity to use all my skills, and to learn more of the important ones, which will most definitely assist me in the future. I believe that my career goal of wanting to become an architect explains why I think math will most benefit me for the rest of my life.
Math class for most is something they do not enjoy.
But for me, it’s a time where I can be myself. Math is involved in nearly everything in life. Whether it’s just simple addition when counting pennies or finding the perimeter of a newly built house. With math, you are able to learn how to do these certain things. Although it is confusing and difficult at times, I know that it will help me in the future. As it says in the article “What Can You Do With a Mathematics Degree?” by Laura Tucker, having a degree in mathematics can help in any career path. Math is also a big influence in my life because of what my dream job is; architecture. When I’m older I strive to be an architect, so math is very important for me to know - and know properly. An architect's job is based around knowing perimeter, area, length and all those types of things, which is what you will, at some point, learn in math. But math is not involved in just architecture. As it says in the article, “Math Career Resources” on University of California's website, engineering, pharmaceutical jobs and even jobs in the law career involve math. Therefore, no matter what job you decide is right for you, the chance is math will have something to do with it. Math has a very big impact on the
world. Others may say that math is useless and boring and that may be the case for some. While it might be true that it is like this at points, math can help achieve many things for a happy life. Also, it helps with many things in everyday life: taxes, balancing checkbooks, etc. Still, all in all math is the best subject for a plethora of reasons.
In summation, math is the best school subject, which contradicts most. I believe this because of all the ways it is incorporated into everyday life. Many think that math is a nuisance, but on the flip side, it is a great skill to properly know because of the many wonderful things it is involved in. Math can help for the future of lives - and right now, but no matter when it is helping, it makes a big impact.
