To me running is like a drug. Its addicting. But it’s is a beneficial “drug”, it improves me in so many ways: mentally, physically and emotionally. When I run that feeling of euphoria makes me feel like I’m on top of the world and nothing can stop me. It’s truly the best feeling. Mentally, at the end of a long day running boosts my self esteem, boosts my appearance and lastly boosts my mind. Physically, it strengthens my muscles (including my heart),lowers my blood pressure and it increases my growth of brain cells. Emotionally, running boosts my mood, eliminates depression and is therapeutic. Running has helped make me be a better person

It took some time, but eventually running became such a big part of my life that I felt incomplete when I didn’t do it. But on top of all that, I actually love getting out and running. It’s a great excuse to get outside (or into the gym if that’s your preference), listen to music, or just enjoy the…

On the same page, he says, ¨The problem was: how to prepare to run that far?¨ He is showing his prowess to make himself physically better.…

First and foremost, the irony of this whole topic is almost too much to bear. In an effort to get me to fall into a superficial norm of laziness, others have put so much analyzing of “symbolism” and scrupulous thought into this topic. “Why on Earth do you run so much?” It seems that everyone has concluded one thing: running must be some representation, must carry some implications, or must have some definition of me that’s completely unfathomable.…

As a three-sport athlete in Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track, there is a certain commitment that one must have to be able to compete year-long in New England. Runners will often sugarcoat their feelings about running by saying it’s thrilling, satisfying and even fun. Although it can be personally fulfilling, it takes a lot of hard work, determination and perseverance to be an accomplished runner.…
