In the 1960’s the fast food industry began shifting its attention to children, they introduced standardized menus and fast food chains such as McDonald’s forever changed their appearance to be child friendly. This strategy was hugely successful as American culture at the time and still is family-orientated. Child friendly restaurants such as McDonald’s was seen as a
fun, affordable family outing which gave the restaurant a unique appeal.
In today’s modern society; the fast food industry in America employs more than four million workers to prepare and serve the affordable and quick McDonald’s menu. The United States has the largest fast food industry and many of its franchises such as McDonald’s, KFC, Subway and Wendy’s has gone global.
