First, they start small by introducing letters of the alphabet, then as the children get use to seeing and understanding how to pronounce the letters, they learn small words and how to spell their names. Everyone wants a good education for their children, education is one of the main building blocks in building a stronger community. “As a community we must provide protection, security, knowledge, and most importantly good values. When a toddler figures out that he can climb a strategically placed chair to reach a cookie on the kitchen counter, he has engaged in highly creative problem solving”. (Miranda) Divergent thinking helps kids think outside the box when solving a problem. This is a skill that children will use for the rest of their life in finding new and beneficial ways to solve a problem. By using these skills not only do they learn how to solve a problem, but they become more sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. This also helps them develop self confidence, good communication, real listening, and searching for solutions. This is very important for a child to develop and to be able to practice while they have the guidance to help them whenever they are in need of it.By working on these skills daycare will help a child to become a good communicator, they will get to spend quality time with peers.
