Why Did Romeo And Juliet Get Married
Yes, i think they should have got married because it was the only option for them because they were too young. They're parents barely let them leave home, they were too young to leave. Juliet is only 13 and is too young to run away with romeo, both of their families disliked each other so the only thing to solve the feud was to get married. They were trying so hard to get the two families to get along. I kind of think marriage for them was a good thing even though that's not the only way out of their situation but for them it was meant to be.

Capulet wanted Juliet to marry Paris, but that also wasn't a good idea. Basically, Capulet was telling Juliet if she don't marry Paris she will be kicked to the curve. Yes, there were complications

Cormac McCarthy has written many terrific novels including the book “The Road”. In this book McCarthy uses the theme dreams vs. Reality often. Many other authors have also used this theme, including F. Scott Fitzgerald. Cormac McCarthy and F. Scott Fitzgerald have very different writing styles, although they both have the reoccurring theme of dreams vs. reality.…

If they never had gotten married, none of this would have ever happened. Juliet would have just married Paris instead of faking her death for Romeo. Also Romeo wouldn't have cared if Juliet had died and just lived on his life instead of killing himself. “Then plainly know my heart's set on the fair daughter of rich Capulet.” (Shakespeare 410). This was a quote from which when Romeo had asked the Friar to marry him and Juliet. If this had never happened it would have saved many lives in this story. This was another reason why I blame Friar for all of the casualties in the…

Romeo and Juliet could have made so many better decisions throughout their marriage. One of the decisions they could have made was just being honest with their parents. Being honest with your parents goes a long way and brings a whole lot less stress to your life because you don't have to worry about them finding out. Another decision they would have made is to just move slower. I believe that they moved way too fast into marriage; they didn't even get to know one another before deciding to marry one another.…

Ultimately Capulet shouldn’t have put so much pressure on Juliet’s marriage. This lead to Romeo and Juliet committing suicide. I believe that Capulet had terrible parenting skills because he was abusive and Lady Capulet didn’t do anything about it. Juliet was not ready for marriage and was clearly uncomfortable with marrying Paris. He didn’t give her the freedom of choice or let them date at all. In conclusion, Capulet should be more open towards Juliet’s marriage and should just end the feud between them and the…

Last, Paris, in my option showcases a dramatic element by asking Lord Capulet for Juliet's hand in marriage when he has yet to meet her. Paris says "But now, my lord, what you say to my suit?"(1001) Paris has never met Juliet so he doesn't know what she's like. I predict that Paris may be the reason Romeo and Juliet's marriage would have to concluded.Juliet will probably pick Romeo over Paris because she's fallen in love with him and that creates yet another conflict in the story.…

Romeo was in love with a girl, Rosaline, but rosaline decided she wanted to become a nun, which means she could not get married. This set off Romeo and could not forget the face of Rosaline . The sparks went off in benvolio's head as a Capulet servant approached and requested Romeo to help him. As the servant left benvolio ”At this same ancient feast of Capulet’s Sups the fair Rosaline whom thou so loves With all the admired beauties of Verona. Go thither, and with unattainted eye Compare her face with some that I shall show, And I will make thee think thy swan a crow”(I.i.84-89). The consequence of this piece is not bad but good. This forces Romeo to forget about Rosaline and fall in love with a new girl, the daughter of his greatest enemy, Juliet. Lord Capulet made the biggest mistake of the all,”Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch! I tell thee what: get thee to church o' Thursday, Or never after look me in the face. Speak not. Reply not. Do not answer me. My fingers itch.—Wife, we scarce thought us blest that God had lent us but this only child, But now I see this one is one too much And that we have a curse in having her. Out on her, hilding!”(III. v. 160-168). Lord Capulet should've thought about what he was saying. Juliet doesn't want to marry County Paris because she is already in love. This one thing set off a chain reaction, Juliet fakes her death, Romeo finds out she “died”, Romeo kills himself, Juliet wakes up, and then kills herself all because of lord Capulet arranging a marriage for Juliet and…

Lord Capulet reaction to Juliet’s refusal to marry Paris pushes her to such an extent that she must run away with Friar Lawrence’s plan. Had they been more concerned, Lord Capulet was so intent on saving his reputation; he did not realize all the pain he was putting his child through. He also speeds up the day off marriage with Paris, without Juliet’s consent. Lord Capulet from what we know has a temper, and when he hears that Juliet does not want to marry Paris this angers him extremely. “What’s this? What’s this? Subtle hairsplitting! What’s this? Proud, and Thank you and no, thanks- and even not proud. You cheeky girl, you, I’ll have none of your thanks, thank you, none of your, proud! Just get your fine self-ready for next Thursday, to go with Paris to Saint Peter’s Church, or I’ll drag you there on a sled! Pah! You sick looking object! Get away with you, you minx! You coward!” (Act 3 Scene 5 pg.183) Being blinded by anger, he goes to the extremes not thinking how this might affect how his “loyal” daughter might react, and says he will disown her. “Be hanged with you, you hussy, you disobedient wretch! I’ll tell you what: get to church on Thursday, or never look at me in the face again. Don’t say anything. Don’t reply! My fingers are itching! Wife, we thought we were very lucky that God gave us this only child-but now I realize we’ve been cursed in having her!” (Act 3 Scene 5…

Lord Capulets’ fiery, passionate temper toward his daughter impacted most of Juliet’s decisions throughout the play. Ever since the beginning of the play, Capulet felt that he had a huge responsibility for Juliet, and that he had to choose who she was going to marry. He feared that Juliet was going to marry too young, and that it would be to a boy that the Capulets’ did not approve of.…

Romeo snuck onto the Capulet’s property to visit Juliet, this was an issue because Romeo being a Montague would have been killed on sight if seen by a Capulet other than Juliet. Romeo was unconcerned by that fact, but Juliet realized the risk he was taking in visiting her, and warned him,“If they do see thee, they will murder thee.” (2.2.70). Friar Lawrence was an accomplice in Romeo and Juliet’s union, and although he warned Romeo by saying, “Wisely and slow. They stumble that run fast.” (2.4.90) he ignored his own advice and married them hastily anyway. Friar Lawrence aided Juliet in her doom by creating a faulty plan that was supposed to save her and Romeo, but only if everything went according to plan, things did not work out correctly and Romeo and Juliet both ended up dying. Romeo and Juliet like everyone made mistakes, and had to take whatever misfortune they were dealt with. This is similar to young love today, because it was perfect love in an imperfect world so despite their best efforts to be together Romeo and Juliet were against the world and found themselves in a losing…
