Why Did The Roman Empire Decline And Christianity

Between the year A.D. 100 and A.D. 400 the Roman Empire declined and Christianity rose up and took its place. This was not easy though, when a massive city died all around them they had to stay strong and fight for what they knew was right. There where many factors that allowed the Christians to grow in this time, and the Romans never even knew it was happening. The roman religion was based on action rather then thought, so they didn't think about what could be happening right in there own city. This ultimately led to the fall of the Roman Empire. One of the big reasons the Roman fell is because The Romans had bankrupted themselves creating a huge and beautiful empire. They had used all of there natural resources and money on making roads
Some of them ended up joining the church in order to feel needed or have a family. They always got this from the church because back then everyone in the church referred to everyone else as brother and sister. All of these people going to the church increased the numbers. As a result of this more people or slaves heard about the church and more people came. Then there where even more people using the Roman roads and other things that allowed them to grow. So the Christians ended up building and empire in the Romans empire, this helped them survive when the Roman empire collapsed. Another reason for the decline of Rome is because over and over again corrupt politicians and other powerful people were found working with the Pagan church. This led everyone to believe that the Pagans where trying to ruin Rome. Then the Christians weren't thought about as much so they were able to do anything they needed to to without raising any suspicion. This also led to the Pagan church decline, because they worked with corrupt people, and it is hard to believe in Pagan gods when your own idiot emperor says he is one of
