Why Do Video Games Cause Violence?
Violence is happening all around the world and it is said that one of the biggest reason for violence is playing video games.
It is true that there are many games that show violence; however the purpose of creating this games was not to promote gamers in doing more violence as violent but to entertain. Violent games are rated for adults and so if parents take a good look the type of games they purchase and also become responsible for what kind of games their kids play then this would in some way cut down teen violence when it comes to playing video games according to Ferguson.
Adults who play video games and are violent is not the cause of the video games that influence them. Even though people argue that video games do cause violence

If there was an experiment created where a person was placed in front of a television screen, given a controller and allowed to play a violent first person shooter for an hour, would one feel the urge to shoot a school up? The question is do violent video games lead to violent behaviors? The research shows that violent video games cause heightened aggression, but not a more violent behavior. What trying to argue is that violent video games do not lead to violent behaviors. But on the other hand people think that just because one plays a violent video game, must make them a bad person. Violent video games do not connect to violent behavior because there is no single factor that leads a person to be violent or aggressive, just because…

I do not think that video games significantly increase violence in children enough to cause them to take another human’s life. I believe that these video games are purely for fun and kids can distinguish reality from fantasy. Even though studies show that children show aggressive behavior when they observe aggressive behavior I think that naming video games as the cause of mass shootings is unclear and very loose information. Everyone…

Many people believe that violent video games should be banned, claiming that they have a negative effect on people. Some even say violent games make people commit violent acts. These games do influence human behavior, which is not always positive, but this does not mean that they should be banned. If a child began playing violent video games at a young age, then he might think that violence in real life is the same as the game violence and that it does not have a real impact on others. However, most children can distinguish between virtual violence and real violence.…

Halo, Call of Duty, and Gears of War are just three of many grossly popular video games today, and they have one main thing in common: violence. Whether one is shooting down Nazi soldiers on the beaches of Normandy or sawing apart Locust drones on the planet Sera with his or her lancer, one is engaging in extremely violent video-game action, and probably having a lot of fun doing so. With the rapid growth of intensely violent games, parents and politicians across the nation have begun to protest against violence in video games and have even gone as far as to say it is the cause of violence in America’s youth. Is this really true? Are video games the problem? Just like the rock and roll movement of the 1950’s being blamed for youth delinquency,…

In today’s ultra-violent media world, approximately 68% of Americans play video games. With one of the most popular video games of 2012 being Call of Duty, it can be argued that it is more than a coincidence that the level of violence in society today has risen at a similar rate to the popularity of these types of video games. Statistics like this may not be proven but cannot be ignored in any studies conducted in behaviour traits, however, the connection between aggression in modern society and the increasing popularity of video games must be deemed more than a coincidence.…
