Why I Chose To Become A Human Services Professional
The reason why I would like to become a Human Services professional because I believe I can make a difference in someone else life by giving the inspiration and resources that they need. I believe that I am driven to succeed in helping people perform at their optimal level. I have the ability and knowledge of what a Human Services professional should do at all times, I am familiar with human development, how culture and society impact behavior and the influences of economic structures on human behavior. Working in human services will give me a reason to come to work every day knowing that I have the ability and knowledge to help someone else succeed in life. By working in my field placement it has giving me the opportunity to work hands on in a professional environment. It has introduced me to a lot of useful resources and also how I would react when a case is handed to me and takes me out of my comfort zone to work with a new population. It has also taught me to be more open minded to different things like culture and values that people believe in. With the different experiences it makes me want to work in this field even more because I genuinely love people and I enjoy working with all types of people. The personal strengths I have to possess that will help me to become an effective Human Services professional would be I have integrity, Knowledge, sympathy, Empathy and I am open minded to all diversity. With those qualities I believe I will have what it takes to be effective in the Human Services professional. I believe the biggest challenge that I will face is how sad I might become especially trying to become a Child Welfare worker. This might be caused by witnessing and absorbing the problems and suffering of children it could be challenging and involves me being able to develop correct boundaries and make sure I put aside my personal issues and feelings and do what I need to do for the best interest of my
