Why I Want To Become A Noncommissioned Officer

With a goal of advancement to become an NCO I have multiple goals I wish to achieve in my career, ranging from short to long-term. I wish to use the leadership skills I have acquired to assist the lower enlisted soldiers to be the best they can be as a leader, I plan to set an example for those that look up to me. My advancement to Sergeant will be a move that I will not take lightly and is one that I look forward to.
Why do you want to become a Noncommissioned Officer? One reason I want to become a Non-Commissioned Officer, is so I can provide more support to the lower enlisted and incoming soldiers than what was offered to me upon my arrival to JBLM. I have goals to move through the ranks and know the importance of the having great people to help me to achieve those goals. With good support comes good morale.

First, SSG Hernandez, he sees that I can go farther than what I believe I can and pushes me to be the best soldier and leader that I can be for anyone that I may lead in my future. SSG Hernandez is helping to mold me in to being not only a better leader but a better person as well. Also, SSG Hollaway has been a positive influence in my career because he sees where he can help, and instead of doing it himself, he turns it in to a teaching moment and helps explain the steps needed to complete the task at hand so that in the future, if he is not around to assist it can be completed without his presence. Both SSG Hernandez and SSG Hollaway are leaders that I look up to and I know will always be there for their soldiers when needed and I strive to lead the same example that they lead for myself and
