Why I Want To Become An NHS
NHS selection committee, I would love to join NHS this year. I am interested in trying to help the community more, and NHS is the way to get involved. Every part of the four pillars, scholarship, service, leadership, and character is important to me. I want to be involved in everything that the NHS does, and help our club to grow bigger and better. Scholarship, service, leadership, and character is what I could not only discover within myself, but also help others within and outside of the club with. Scholarship is learning at a high level, according to oxforddictionaries.com. I have achieved this because I have a 3.985 cumulative GPA and plan to continue to learn to the best of my abilities, like I am now. I also plan to help others who don't understand something, or need help in school. I know that by becoming a member in NHS, I can reach out to more students. This would improve my service to the community, which brings me to my next point on why I should a part of the NHS. …show more content…
I do this, but want more opportunities to do it more. The NHS can allow more opportunities for me to arise and I will take part in as many service projects as possible. I was once a part of really touching someone’s life during a service project at the gospel mission in duluth. We fed some people who were poor, I and got a personal thank you from one man saying without people like us he would never eat. I can help to plan more activities like this and get more people as excited about helping as I am. I know if more people were excited to help the community, the world might be a better place. Even if I only influence those in our little corner of the world, it will still help to make George and Little Rock a better

I am a very positive, open minded person and I always look forward to working with other people. I always accept new challenges and I have proven to work very well under pressure. I would also say that I am independent, a fast learner and a hard worker, which I feel are all important qualities in an aspiring surgeon. My volunteer experience in third world countries with Me to We, and at Royal Victoria Hospital, have really opened my eyes and proven to me that the care of others is very important, and I find it necessary to put others before you, especially when it comes to the health care. Being accepted into this residency program would allow me to put my skills to good use, and to acquire more helpful skills that will better my future in the medical field.…

To the staff of the National Honor Society (NHS), I am a candidate, whom you have invited to join your organization, writing to discuss my qualifications. As of right now, I am extremely honored by the fact that the only reason I was considered eligible to join you was because of my grade-point average, which is 3.57, but, I am also aware that the other requirements necessary for me to join NHS include a demonstration of positive traits of character, service, and leadership. Reading the necessary requirements for joining your society, I find myself actually acknowledging my existence within my society. While in NHS, I volunteered to make and bring food to the homeless. We made simple bags packed with lunches, to be given to them alongside a prepared dinner of chili.
