Donald Trump and Glenfiddich
Given Trump’s obvious obstinacy, the Glenfiddich affair may be a classic case of “the pot telling the kettle it’s black.” A few years ago, Trump refused to buy prducts from popular brewers Glenfiddich of Scotland.
The controversy arose because Glenfiddich endorsed an award for one of Trump’s rivals, Michael Forbes. Forbes was highly critical of Trump’s golf course being next to his property and bluntly refused to sell extra acreage for expansion.
Although the winner is apparently chosen by popular vote, Trump objected vehemently, citing Forbes’ open criticism of his golf course. He claimed corporate jealousy from one Glenfiddich’s distributors merited a total boycott of their products by all of his businesses.
Donald Trump and Tax Plans

His “Robin Hood” style of taxation would relieve the very poor, protect the middle class, and “unburden” the extremely
wealthy.
Trump’s apparent magnanimous approach would seek to offer solutions where none were apparently forthcoming. It would also eliminate the political footballing he thought was afoot at the time. The tax plan would also help replenish dwindling reserves in the Treasury and put the economy on firmer grounds moving forward. His proposal would also help balance the Social Security reserves and protect the middle and lower classes.
Donald Trump and Timothy O’Brien
Talk about tyrannical, tetchy, and tempestuous, Trump vs. O’Brien is a typical example of trivia at its best. O’Brien set out to publish facts about his wealth, and Trump made a huge exception and filed a lawsuit against O’Brien. A small section (about 3 pages) of the book challenged Trump’s actual worth and sparked a firestorm in his wealthy cup.
Obsessed with recognition and the need for supremacy, Trump claimed the book tried to ruin his reputation. Notwithstanding that Trump himself gave O’Brien exclusive insights and facts; he nevertheless felt his “public image” superseded the truth. The outcome was apparently more challenging for Trump, since he opened himself to more public scrutiny about his actual wealth. He did not win the case, but claimed some “victory” anyhow.
