One significant factor on why bottled water is better to drink is because it’s portable and convenient. Imagine someone finishing off a hard day at practice in the hot sun. He or she would sit around cooling off and see friends having a refreshing bottle of water. That could have been him or her, however the nearest water fountain is on the other side of the field. This situation could have been avoided if he or she had a bottle of water. An article states, “ Many developing countries depend upon bottled water, as the local tap water is unsafe to drink ” (Granger). Many countries have water that has been contaminated by chemicals, or isn’t clean. To solve this problem, some organizations are able to visit these countries and aid them with fresh clean water. Bottled water is the only water that the people of undeveloped countries are able to get. This wouldn’t be possible with the use of tap water.
In addition, bottled water is cleaner than tap water in some areas. All though some citizens have the opportunity to have clean water, other don’t. Most people who don’t live in the city have a better chance of having contaminated or unsafe water. If someone was to live in a neighborhood with unsafe water, the only way to get clean water is with bottled water. Even though you can by a water filter, those can cost hundreds of dollars.
