Why Is Melquíades Rafael Martinez Important
Melquíades Rafael Martinez can be acknowledged as an important person in the shaping of Florida to be the way it is today. Marinez first became a Florida senator in 2005. He is known for sponsoring many bills in Health, Social Welfare, and Economics and Public Financing. Mel is also widely known for being the first Cuban-American to serve in the U.S Senate. Mel should be recognized as an important Hispanic-American in Floridian history because he cares about Floridian’s safety and health as well as the economy in the state.
