This could, without a doubt, bring down grades and have students miss crucial information that they might need for future assignments, and/or work. One last piece of evidence is that if we made lunch longer, it would affect the schedule. Class time would have to be altered along with lunch. Some students' parents/guardians might not be able to pick up their student on time, and they would have to find an alternative. While this might be the case, other parents/guardians might not be home on time if their student took the bus.…
Being in high school does not give you the time to wait in line for lunch now in days. There are many students who have tests or labs to finish in class before lunch. This makes students run late. Some students do not have the time to take advantage of using their lunch period in a right manner.…
Eating, eating can be hard when you don't have enough time because maybe the line is very long or maybe your lunch has to be heated and it can take awhile to heat something up. In fact, kids may have an eating disorder so maybe they eat slower so it take awhile. Also, kids love recess because it's active you can talk and you can get outside. Another fact kids may need more time a recess to get out their energy because people have more energy than other kids that why school should do MIUL. Mix it up lunch is a great style for schools maybe you should try…
I believe that high schools should have open lunches. Students should be able to leave the school grounds and go to a fast food restaurant, or, if they choose should at least be able to go outside and eat. Students need to have a small break from school during the day, even if they are outside, they still can take their minds off of school work for a while. Students need to have fresh air and adequate sunlight. Fresh air and sunlight is a proven fact to help students in their studies and it also helps the students concentrate more. I understand that the school staff would not like the fact that the students would be able to leave campus without supervision. Are not the students in high school? Should we not have the responsibility to be able…
To optimize time for instruction, and the students would know what to do during lunch…
In light of the above, it may seem irrational to defend school lunch. Such a standpoint, nonetheless, seems to ignore the serious consequences that come with its substitute: the lunch box. There are in fact several reasons that make lunch box a bad option. Firstly, because it is a waste of time; time that many busy parents do not have. One can but imagine how much more practical and time-saving it is to have meals provided for the children than to let each parent cook for their own children. Secondly, for many children, the school meal is the only…
New federal guidelines designed to get kids to eat more healthful meals have taken effect with the new school year. Targeting fat, sodium and calories, the rules aim to increase the fruits, vegetables and whole grains in school lunches.…
Have you ever gotten a rotten or squishy fruit or vegetable?, and the food looking nasty and unappetizing. What if the school has only has a little bit of food choices would you eat the school food I won't that’s why I’m writing about why the school lunch should be changed.…
One reason that the school boards should improve our school lunches is because kids get to choose want they want for school. According Mary L. Gavin, MD can choose to eat the green beans or throw them out. A kid also can choose to eat an apple instead of an ice cream sandwich. Another reason is Because they serve junk food everyday. According to Richard J. Codey junk food should be banned at schools because it leads to obesity. It also can affect their future for them. My last reason they should change our school lunch is that during lunch a kid eats half of their calories during lunch in school, because they…
“So from eating out, we can also learn how to make wise choices.” This would make students prepared for college by enabling them to leave campus and eat what they want. This independence would get kids ready to face the real world. “It provides a semi-sheltered climate to allow students to grow and become responsible.” This would give teens the privilege of not being watched every second of the day. If students disobeyed the rules of when they should be back, they could take away the privilege or give punishment. Throughout high school students don’t have very many opportunities to show how independent they are any letting them leave for lunch would be a perfect way for teens to show teachers they can be trusted and can survive in the real world.I know a lot of high school students who are very shy and keep to themselves. With the ability to leave school during lunch, kids would become more outgoing because there would be many more chances for them to socialize and interact with the real world. “If students have the privilege of off-campus lunch, they will gain more responsibility and more experience on how the real world works.” All kids have a big part in the future of our job…
Imagine this, you walk into the cafeteria to find the smell of spaghetti, gross! You get a tray anyway. That's all that they have so it`s your only option. You only push the mushy noodles around the tray then throw it away once your lunch period is over. The next period you hear your stomach growl and wish you could have had another option at lunch. If schools provided more lunch options this problem would happen less or even disappear completely.…
According to Change.org, 9 out of 10 students say they would eat something else besides lunch food if they had a choice. A variety of food choices outside of school will benefit a student's health. Likewise, teens need the option to go out and take a break from their 8 hour school day. According to a student on Change.org, “refreshing our minds before the next few classes would really help us focus more, being in a happier environment.” Students need a break from slaving in a desk all day, doing school work. Leaving school for lunch gives students some fresh air and time to relax their brain. Leaving school to go get lunch would help students with their physical and mental…
I do not think that our school district should allow middle school students to leave during lunch. I think it is to much for kids in seventh and eight grade to leave during lunch. This privilage is also something that should be looked forward to for in high school. In this essay I will explain to you why this idea is not the best for kids in middle school.…
School lunch may not be every students favorite part of the day, but lunch can make a big impact on a child. Study shows that,” a change in lunch can make an effect on the obesity rate”(Walshmedpagetoday). The gov’t should control school lunches to reduce the obesity epidemic and health risks. School Lunch has been around for a long time in fact school lunch was started by President Harry Truman in 1946. School lunch is offered to all students to provide a nutritionally balanced meal everyday for low or free cost.…
School lunches lack healthy nutrients that growing children and teens need. Because, schools lack the proper funding needed to support students with healthy lunches, students have a horrible diet. A lot of people, including myself, believe that if healthy school lunches were provided students at home would make better choices when it came to what snacks they ate between meals. If schools got better funding for healthier lunches it could theoretically save the government more money because the students in turn would have less health problems.…
