Why School Uniforms Should Stay in the Shelby County School System Even though school uniforms are not stylish to students, school uniforms are more convenient for parents because school uniforms are less distracting to students and less expensive than regular clothing. To begin, school uniforms are more convenient for parents. Uniforms are easier to wash. When making a load of clothes to be cleaned, it doesn’t take much effort. Uniform bottoms can be washed altogether depending on the color. Uniforms tops can be hung out to dry on a clothes hanger overnight instead of being placed in the dryer. These methods are convenient for parents especially after cooking a meal and a long day at school or work.
In addition, school uniforms are less expensive than urban clothing. Uniforms bottoms and tops cost according to size just like urban wear, but are cost a little more. Uniform bottoms can cost you around $6-$15 a pair, but an urban pair of bottoms would cost your around $8-$20. The tops cost around $6-$15 like the bottoms, but the urban wear tops cost around $10-$20. Urban wear prices are much higher because of the variety and style.
Finally, the most important reason school uniforms are more convenient for parents are because they are less distracting to students. Student sometimes tease other students if they lack the most fashionably urban clothing. This causes a distraction for students learning environment. The less fortunate student may feel insecure and may begin to neglect attendance and their will to learn, because of the distracting students.
In conclusion, although school uniforms are not stylish to students, school uniforms are more convenient for parents for two main reasons. First, school uniforms are less expensive than regular clothing. But most importantly, school uniforms are less distracting to students. This is why school uniforms should stay in the Shelby County School

Even though the argument on whether or not school uniforms takes away the student's right to self-expression will never end. Having school uniforms for the students to wear will eliminate bullies who pick on other students based on their clothing. Uniforms will eliminate the separation of social classes when that is mainly determined by what clothing a person wears. Last but not least, schools that require the students to wear school uniforms makes a formal look on the school. Uniforms may seem boring, but if they are able to help improve learning for students, they are a very reasonable…

Revival history is an interesting topic and one that can be explored at great depths. Revivals of the past, if looked at through the right lens, can awaken hope and desire for God to move again, even in the darkest times. Revivals show us that God is still very much active and interested in His people. The Father desires that we would know Him as a real Person and who loves to make Himself known through His Son Jesus. I wrote my paper on the First Great Awakening mainly because I am from New England and I have a passion to see the church set ablaze again in that area. The heritage is so rich in that land and I believe that the Lord would love to encounter His people again with a great spiritual awakening. Below, I will go over the Great Awakening in detail discussing the dates, location, key leaders, scope of impact, main features, main message, controversial aspects, principles learned, and our application for today.…

Many people say that uniforms help develop the discipline of the student. This could not be further from the truth. School uniforms only create more rules for a student to follow, thus they take away from the primary function of school: education. School is about education, social and academic, and uniforms have no viable place in that endeavor. School uniforms take up money and resources that could be allotted to more productive activities. Parents have to spend money on their children's uniforms when they already have clothes that would be just as good. School districts have to put money, time, and effort into developing uniforms and enforcing the dress code once it has come into effect. Why not spend this cash on needed school equipment instead?…

"Just slapping clothes on kids won't improve a school, but uniforms accompanied by other reforms can make a difference. Uniforms send a message and remind students that they are in school. One element of the message is that when you are going to school, that is your place of work. That is the place where you are working at getting smart." ~Joe Palumbo. Uniforms cause children to be more civilized and mature in what they are doing. It could lead the kids to a greater future and teach them to be more proper. It is a great idea for schools to implement a policy on school uniforms because it provides more focus to learning, reduces peer pressure, and increases school pride.…

When you are going to put your child into school, most parents think about the cost of school and the money they are going to waste during the school year. well, if you put your child in a school that has uniform you will not be waisting a lot of money on clothes just to make them fit in, they also wont be bullied and they have a great chance of studying better. Clothing competition is going to be eliminated, no student is going to have the urge to waste so much time in the morning just looking for clothes, to just impress other students and since they dont have to do that they will feel relieved that they dont have to fit in and they will also resist peer pressure on buying trendy clothes. of course that would be for students who's parents…
