Why Wall E Is A Hero

The world was always moving—the cities always changing. And those that inhabited it changed as well. They destroyed the oceans, they destroyed the land, and they destroyed their home. Blue skies faded to grey, what was green became brown, and life and rebirth quickly turned into death and destruction. This is a pretty powerful concept for what was supposed to be a children’s film. The film Wall-e managed to capture a strong representation of a vast dystopian society. As shocking as is may be, the most surprising part of the story isn’t the disgusting piles of trash in place of skyscrapers. What grasped the viewers’ attention more than anything was the authors choice of the main character or the hero of the film. The hero of this specific story doesn’t have super strength, super speed, or even the ability to fly. Our hero is a small robot named Wall-e, designed to clean up the mess humans left behind. Although Wall-e seems like a very unlikely hero, his story still has many similarities to Josepha
Wall-e is a robot that was created to clean away the disgusting imprint left on the planet by humanity. He has been left on earth long after human kind abandoned it due to pollution. Plant life is dead and all that remains are piles and piles of trash and filth. Wall-e goes through his routine every day by collecting and compacting trash, creating cubes that he stacks into large towers. He is constantly having to take shelter from the massive storms and tries to make some form of a life out of his lonely existence by searching for “treasure” and bringing it back to the home he created for himself. Wall-e is completely alone with the exception of a cockroach but since the only form of entertainment he has is a love story, he is always dreaming of love and someone to hold his hand. This is obviously Wall-e’s ordinary world because to him, it is uneventful and boring with nothing new ever
