What are the four types of essay organization discussed in the course readings? What characteristics make these essays expository? The four types of essay organization that I found that were discussed in the course readings were time order, space order, Topic and informative process. . The characteristics that make these essays expository are evidence in each paragraph to support the thesis, because once there read it can be seen that the thesis is the main characteristic of the essays that is written. There also the use of third person written which is a characteristic and information is presented in a non-biased opinion.
What distinguishes space organization from time organization or informative-process organization in an essay? The Informative process is best described as instructional writing or how to write, the space order refers to information that deals with the location. When reading about the Time order it is organized information that sequentially moves from one time period to another.
How does the organization of each essay help the reader understand the subject matter of that essay? The essay that I read were A Soul as Free as the Air: About Lucy Stone” it was about how they were trying to help the reader to understand and learn about Lucy Stone and what order she Lucy Stone achievements occurred. The How to Succeed as an online Student list some important steps for the reader to understand what it takes to be successful in an online academic atmosphere. And how to achieve there goes like short and long term.
