I was on a plane headed to a SMALL town TO visit my friend. The flight was running SMOOTHLY until a disaster happened. I wasn't alarmed by my senses at first, but what I felt was a BURST of pressure. I felt AGHAST and had a PREMONITION that something BAD was happening. The pressure that I was feeling came TO a stop, AND then I became unconscious.

I regained my consciousness, and my eyes started TO open. I felt a bit confused, BUT I had realized that the plane had crashed. I couldn't see much, BUT then I realized that I was covered in material from HEAVY luggage AND broken pieces of miscellaneous objects. I removed the objects FROM my sight and started to smell the RESIDUE of ash and gas. After

I stood up and looked AROUND for help, but my voice was COMPLETELY INAUDIBLE. There wasn't anybody alive around me. All that was IN sight was debris, burnt materials, and bodies. As I walked over PULVERIZED objects, I began to wander the DESTROYED land.

After wandering around the area, I smelled a BOUNTIFUL amount of gasoline. I turned back and watched the gasoline as it caught on fire. The fire drew closer and closer to me. In, panic I started to search for an escape. FRANTICALLY, I grabbed the wing of the plane and headed towards the shore, which I had not seen before. I climbed upon the wing and used it as a surf board. To my opinion, I was PRETTY good at surfing, even though I had never surfed before.

After surfing for quite a while, I became tired and floated on my belly on the wing. I tried to take a nap AND relax, BUT every time I tried my face would sink UNDER the surface of the water. I looked UP and saw a yacht, then began to wave my hands to get their attention. The yacht turned and threw me a life preserver. They reeled me ONTO the yacht and NICELY gave me a room for free. I contacted my friend, whom I had wished to visit and she said that she had understood the situation. In the end, I got off at the next port and boarded the next plane

I was eventually led to the aircraft elevator and as we went up, we were graced with an ice cold, seawater shower being fired at us from several fire hoses above. Cold and shivering, we reached the flight deck and were led to the beginning of a long gauntlet of several challenges we were to complete. Bobbing for apples in tubs of some nasty liquid, jumping through “polly-hoops,” “polly-sliding” down a long wet plastic slip n’ slide—the course went on and on. We filled through the course, one after another, each needing to complete each task before crawling to the next. I went from the bow to the stern, trudging my way through each before I came to a large tub, ten feet long, filled with green-dyed water.…

Imagine your life flashing before you. What you had yesterday, you might not have today. Your loved ones you had a conversation with and were able to see days ago, might have been the last time you might ever talk to them and see them. All of this happens within minutes and without any warning. Put yourself in the position of someone who has to question if they will be able to see the sun rise the next morning; like myself.…

As he sat stiff backed and upright in the hard wooden chair, Jotham looked around anxiously. He could only see three of the walls, and the ceiling, if he craned his neck upwards, but that was enough to make him very uneasy indeed. They were grey and bare - not silver grey, but a horrible murky grey, that made it seem like everything was closing in on him. The room was rectangular; not at all wide; there was perhaps a metre between him and the nearer two walls, but it was extremely lengthy; probably about fifteen metres long.…

“Ouch.” I said as I rose from the sand, rubbing my head. I looked up and saw the helicopter, perfectly landed, which was weird because the last thing I remember was the tail spiraling us out of control and me renting it of course. I looked around and saw nothing but sand, water, and trees, lots and lots of trees. I slowly stood up and brushed the sand off my pants and shirt. I saw that the shoes I had been wearing were no longer on my feet, which was a bummer because I had just gotten them.…

The first thing I saw was the smoke running through my eyes and a masked man taking me away from the flaming fire. Unable to move, and blood crashing down from my nose, I felt my body shivering in the cold with a bright light shining down my face. Feeling helplessly lost, I wonder if it was all just a dream, and that maybe I’ll wake up from it soon. “Where was I?” I thought.…

As the shark worked its way over to me I grabbed the snorkel of me head, preparing myself for the fight of my life. Its mouth was fingertips from my leg, when I delivered a skin piercing jab to the side of its head. To my surprise the shark was stunned. This could be my only chance to get away. As I screamed for help, I threw my arms over the boat. Struggling to pull myself up over the boat, my grandpa quickly ran over to me and lifted me over the boat. As I laid down on the boat’s deck I sighed in relief. After about a minute I finally regained…

I closed my eyes hoping I would bring myself to imagine I was in heaven safe and happy without any sort of pain I've been feeling since I began the trip but sadly that imagine didn't last, I heard somebody yell “Put your hands up now!!!” I froze in spot not knowing what to do the only thing I did know was my life was about to come to an end. I heard the Immigration and Customs Enforcement known as a police to arrest immigrants. The police officer was actually arresting and yelling at a man I knew who was also on the journey with the rest. I thanked God for not letting the police officer find me. As bad as I felt for the man I had to keep my head and keep walking. As I remembered my mother's words “Never bend your head. Always hold it high.…

I saw the rip current open up a few times that day, but by the time it rolled around noon, it was pulling more because the water was going out for low tide. When I saw the raft, I never really put two and two together until the raft got in the rip current. Two kids and their dad were rapidly moving out to sea. I reacted just like we were taught in class; dropping my flag and calling in on the radio. I leaped from my tower to the sand, grabbed my buoy and sprinted down the beach. I did a perry angle and took off into the water, throwing my buoy to the side as I got knee deep in the surf. I porpoise dove through the shallow water, came up and sprinted out to my victims, keeping a close eye on them as I did. By the time I got to them, the dad had abandoned his kids and swam in saving himself. The kids had jumped out of the raft, which was now upside down and proceeded to try swimming the raft in. I told them I was a lifeguard and here to help. The girl, about my age, looked at me as if I were crazy and told me they didn't need any help. I looked at her younger brother, who was tired and panting, and I asked if he was okay. He desperately told me, gasping for a breath, that he needed help. I wouldn't have been able to bring both victims and the raft in, while fighting a rip current. So I firmly grabbed the rope on the raft, with each of them holding, and started to kick. I soon realized I was getting nowhere and still drifting out to sea. Panicking, I scanned the beach for back up. When the lifeguard truck pulled up, I let out a sigh of relief. There were about 5 guards who came hustling out of the truck with buoys to come and back me up. When they reached me, it took some pulling to get everyone in safely raft…

I woke up hazed with blurred vision. The right side of my face was dried and burned. The left side of my face was soaked in salt water and blood. I was freaked out and picked up my head and blinked rapidly. I saw nothing but blue for miles and miles, the sky and the water. When I looked down I saw nothing but a small black and orange rubber dingy. I tried to think about what had happened. It was then when I realized I couldn't even remember my own name. Then panic just settled in for some reason I jumped in the water freaking out. I came to my senses and quickly started using all my strength to hurdle myself in the dingy.…

As a first reaction, I stood right back up. I looked around and it seemed as if I was viewing at life through the lens of a slow motion camera recording a silent film. People swung their car doors wide open and began to approach me wearing worried facial expressions but I was even more confused than they were. Why was everything moving so slow? Why could I not hear? Why was everyone coming at me? Plop, I fell to the ground and everything I had observed diminished.…
