A Day at the Beach I love the smooth warm sand rubbing on my feet. The scent of fresh air, almost like a new ocean breeze freshener. Walking my on the warm sand looking out at the ocean soothes my soul. The beach is a time of fun, relaxation, and a place to release stress. When walking the boardwalk, I remember the smell of French fries. The sound of laughter and children playing filled my heart with excitement. Walking on the hot sand, I lay my beach towel down on the warm sand. As I get comfortable, I see sand castles, volleyballs and beach balls. Flashes from cameras from taking pictures of our moments. I grab my friend’s hand as we both ease our way to the cold, freezing water. We both scream while waves brush up against our legs. We then hear our boyfriends call out our names, getting us to go further into the ocean. Our knees buckle, teeth chatter and our hearts pound. As each wave became higher we all screamed and jumped. However, there is always that one huge wave. As the four of us saw
Tyson 2 the wave coming towards us, we all tried to swam away. We didn’t make it, so we all got caught. After getting caught under that huge wave, it was relaxation time. Brushing the sand off of my hot pink and black Victoria Secret beach towel; preparing myself to soak up the sun, I put sunscreen on and my sunglasses on, and my earphones in. with the sound of slow jams R&B playing in my ear and also hearing children playing, I began drifting off to sleep. Then, waking up to the sound of play, fun, and laughter. Children and adults screams playfully because of the cold ocean water. Before getting up from my thirty minute nap under the sun, I took a deep breathe, taking in all the fresh air around me. Getting up from my nap. I walked to the boardwalk. As I walked the boardwalk, I saw all different types of people and all different ages. At the end of the boardwalk, there was

It all started about three or four years ago when my friend or as some people may consider her as my sister invited me to go for two weeks to a beach house for the fourth of july with her family. As soon as the sun was up we hit the road for about five or six hours until we finally arrived to cayucos which in this case was next to moral bay where ¨finding dory was filmed¨. As soon as the car stopped we ran out the car and started running towards the ocean as you hear the waves smashing towards each other. Looking up you can see pelicans flying free and the warmness of the sun hugging your skin. After spending time out on the beach xitclalli and I decided that we should go inside and see our bedrooms we…

As Bethany Hamilton once said, "Being out there in the ocean, God's creation, is like a gift he has given us to enjoy." The smell of grilled hot dogs lingered in the hot, Summer air from the boardwalk, and I smiled because I knew that it was going to be a wonderful day. To begin, I ran towards the luscious, majestic waves as they kissed the shoreline. For example, the waves came crashing down onto the sand with such a powerful force. As I began to run closer to the ocean, my feet touched the jewel- blue water, making my body shiver. Next, I looked around the crowded beach at all of the kids playing, noticing how much fun they were having. For instance, I could hear the waves splashing and the children playing on this hot Summer day. The sand…

The sand scorched our feet like steaks on a fiery grill. I had brought the Rock along to join me for a surfing lesson. We snatched our wetsuits and our boards and hit the waves. The ocean water sends a chilling sensation through my body. The polar water feels like a steamy shower after a long day, calming and relaxing. The waves are monstrous and intimidating, however, I seem to ride them effortlessly like I had done it a million times before. I dash past the Rock and under a curling wave. In the waves there are vividly colored fish swimming in schools. The water is so translucent that one can easily see the ocean floor, and the coral and seaweed that lay on…

We continued to drive for about thirty more minutes, and I soon realized that we were getting close to the beach. I could smell the salt in the cool breeze of air from my window. It was mixed with the sweet fragrance of food from the boardwalk. When we arrived at our destination, my father checked us into our rooms at the Silver Leaf Resort. I really wasn’t paying too much attention to my surroundings, because I was bursting with excitement wanting to go to the beach. I begged my mother and father till I turned blue saying “please can we go to the beach now.” “Pretty please with sure on top.” My father just looked at me with that solemn face he always has and said “yes, baby girl we can unpack later.” “Now let’s head to the beach.” I screamed like a banshee with excitement and ran to the room and changed into my swim wear. I grabbed my maroon beach towel with my pale and shovel, and my mini purse that contained my shades, bubbles, and sun screen.…

As the children are playing water polo they are attempting to dodge the massive waves coming to the shore. The sound of the waves is so relaxing however, knowing there are young children near the powerful waves makes me nervous and on the lookout for one of them not returning above the waves. I understand the fun in dodging the waves because that was something I lived for as a child but it can be very dangerous. The touch of the soft, white sand on my feet is a feeling I will never forget. Personally, I think it is better than the feeling of soft carpet on your feet. The smell of the ocean's salt water is not one of my favorites but I adapt to it after sitting on the beach for so long. I just sit there and take in all the beautiful scene around…

We enjoyed the atlantic ocean, the warm white sand, and the scorching hot sun. We could hear the huge waves crashing into the sandy shore. We could also hear the lively chatter of the people on the beach. The smell of the salty ocean and the banana boat sunscreen overtook the air with mass quantities of the two smells combined. The touch of the hot sand on your feet and the rough seashells on shore. The best part of the day was when me and my brother went kayaking for an hour out into the deep blue sea. It took fifteen long minutes to fight our way over the…

One of my favorite things about the beach is actually laying on the beach. Being able to feel the wind sweep sand across me, watching the tide come and go like friendly gestures, and the warmth of the sun seems to almost touch my soul. The stress simply melts away with the days and the sunscreen. As my tan grows stronger, so does my love for the sand and the ocean. I have never loved anything quite like I love being able to feel the sand rub by toes and see the sun glinting off of the water.…

Swaying in the wind, was a yellow flag; letting me know that the water was moderate but safe to enter. Once I could see the sand I removed my shoes and socks and prepared to feel the warmth of the sand between my toes. Warm, grainy sand hid between my toes and cling to my feet as I made my way to the water. Using the sound of the waves as company, I meandered along the shore. I was thinking of a way to embrace my assignment; I had to spend time alone. It was time for me to appreciate doing nothing.…

Standing on top of a long narrow board, knees slightly bend, looking off into the distance of the beautiful coast of Hawaii. The wind runs through my wet hair, all of my worries disappear, and then I realize that I am thousands of miles away from my small house in southern Wisconsin. I realize how beautiful this state really is, and I miss it, I already miss the place where I currently am. I do not want leave, but then I notice the space between me and the shore is getting smaller. It is now time to jump into the ocean. I take one last look at the beach, close my eyes, and leap into the air, as I through my arms back. Then there is that spilt second, when all you are doing is falling, falling into the ocean almost in slow motion. Slowly I feel the warm water touch my feet, and rise up my body until I am completely submerged. I swim back to the surface, grab my board, and do it all over…

It is amazing to me how the beach can make me feel like a kid again. The sun shining as it rises from the east, making everything look crisp and new. The smell of the salt air and the sound of waves thundering against the cool sand, yes, this is one of my favorite places to be. It can be relaxing and soothing to the soul. Newport Oregon is where I grew up and has some of the most amazing beaches. Rocky shores, historical lighthouses and glorious sunsets are just some of the extraordinary sights.…

It is spring break, in the middle of March, my junior year. As I cross the state line into Florida, I picture the ocean as being a place of peace and serenity. It’s my first time visiting the ocean, and all I can think about is hoping it is as beautiful as the pictures I have seen of it. As I arrive to the beach with all my friends, the eagerness of seeing this peaceful place is rising. I can’t wait to smell the fresh salty air, feel the soft sand between my toes, walk along the breezy shoreline.…

The sun was glistening on the ocean as I glided in. Thinking to myself that this was the best vacation a fourth grader could have, I observed the ripples as I inhaled the sweet scent of the refreshing water. Boogie board in hand, I swam out farther to catch a wave. Soon, when I had not been paying attention, I realized I had gone out too far. That moment was the first most panic stricken I’d ever been.…

Every morning I hit the beach with my friends. Halloween is usually the time to go trick-or-treating, but for me it was the time to catch a perfect wave. So at sunrise I was already at Tunnel Beach, feeling as though my veins were filled with salt water. The water was crystal clear and very calm. I was relaxing on my board with my left arm dangling in the water as I waited for the next big wave.…

As I walk down the narrow, brown, rickety bridge that leads to the ocean my heart begins to race in anticipation of reaching the fascinating sight. I’m suddenly surrounded by sand that is white and pure as snow. I walk at a turtle’s speed absorbing this overwhelming beauty that encircles me. The sky is the brightest blue I’ve ever seen, so bright that it almost seems as if it is from an animated movie and not real life itself. Fluffy clumps of clouds that were covering the sky before slowly fade away into thin air and the crystal clear waves sparkle like diamonds. The water is never-ending. I see heaps of seagulls flying around the sky, white and grey and full of spirit. As a gust of wind runs through my long, dark, brown hair I look to the right to see two elegant dolphins leap from the deep blue sea and dive back in as if saying hello to the gorgeous, heavenly day.…
