Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet
Part 1
For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.
Physical health: Physical Health includes an individual’s desire to perform normal activities in society they live in. This includes their body structure, how they respond to disorders and diseases and physical exercise. An example that reflects this in my life is running.
Social health: Social Health involves how individuals relate to others in social interactions, having healthy relationships, and developing appropriate behavior in the society they live in. An example of this in my life is communicating others in my social circle.
Intellectual health: Intellectual health involves how individuals process information in the brain to arrive at decisions in meeting life’s challenges. An example of this in my life includes doing my homework at University of Phoenix.
Environmental health: Environmental health involves the ability to value the environmental they live in and how they preserve the earth. An example of this would involve conserving water by taking showers.
Emotional health: Emotional Health involves an individual’s controlling emotions appropriately. It would include emotional reactions and expressing them apprioately an example of this in my life would be walking away from an intense situation.
Spiritual health: Spiritual health includes an individual devolving a spiritual relationship with a supreme power or a higher being. An example of this in my life would include attending church.

In approximately 125 to 200 words, describe health and wellness in your own words using the ideas and concepts for each of the six dimensions of health.
