A Career As An MSC Officer

While in pursuit of earning my second master’s degree I commenced to volunteer at a local hospital, which exposed me to several different aspects of health care admin duties, including marketing. Volunteering was great practice which intensified my desire to push forward to becoming a MSC officer. During that time I have acquired that one of the most important elements to achieving my goal is perseverance. Although, as enjoyable volunteering has been, preparing my package was a testing task.

Through all of my obstacles that I have endured during my transition to becoming a MSC officer, needless to say, it has been challenging and at times very stressful. However, I never abdicated even in moments I felt weary, discouraged, and defeated. I stayed in prayer every day and each morning I would start fresh to continue my transition. My belief is so firm that I diligently obtained a set of blues and ABUs adding rank along with patches in place to be ready for COT and graduation. I store my ABUs up on the wall in my room as well as keep a picture of my uniform on my phone so I can see what I am striving for each day. This is a reminder for days that are more difficult to keep pushing forward. That is how determined and committed I am to becoming a MSC officer.
This is a profession where I can constantly discover new concepts, develop, and organize to make changes that will better improve the health care system we currently have. As stated above, these are the reasons why I desire to become a MSC
