University of the Philippines is the most prestige university in the country. U.P. Diliman, its main campus, is said to be a campus that offers a whole new world, environment and culture to the students. It has different sets of people that form the student organizations.
Student Organizations, according to the Office of Student Activities in U.P., are groups of students that have the same interests and goals. These organizations in U.P. are grouped as academic, alliance, cause-oriented, community service, dormitory association, fraternity, sorority, regional/provincial, special interest, sports and recreation and religion. Fraternities and sororities are considered organizations too, as long as there are 15 members and above that meet regularly, they are recognized by the university as an organization.
