Veganism challenges the widely accepted idea that the lives of animals are insignificant enough to end for food and enjoyment. While vegans disapprove of eating meat, they also disapprove of other events that abuse animals like chicken fighting, horse races and bull fighting. In addition to that veganism also challenges the mainstream belief that the human diet needs animal products and byproducts to live healthy lives. Currently there is no concrete evidence that a vegan diet is inferior than non-vegan diets or that vegan diets are detrimental to a person’s health when done right.
