should absolutely not be allowed to experiment on animals because it can be toxic. People will argue that the products tested on animals are not toxic to animals. However, products are very toxic and harmful to animals. In the article, “Animal Testing is Outdated, Imperfect” Ryan Ballinger states that, products can injure or kill the animals. This means that the products tested on animals can or will hurt them (Ballinger, n.p). In the article “Animal Experimenta Are Mortally Unthinkable” Justin Goodman says that, the animals may have hair loss. This means that the product can make the hair fall out (Goodman, n.p). The article “Animal Experimenta Are Mortally Unthinkable” Justin Goodman states, the animals will have self-destructive behavior (Goodman, n.p). The point of this is to say that animals are biting the self, and tearing out their own hair. In conclusion, you can see that people should not be able to experiment on animals because it is highly toxic.
The second reason people should not be allowed to experiment on animals because it may harm the animals and help us humans.
Critics often argue that product tested on animals will not help us if they harm animals. On the other hand so many of the products tested on animals will harm them and do good for humans. The article “Animal Testing is Outdated, Imperfect” Ryan Ballinger says, a life saving drug was almost shelved because it harmed animals (Ballinger, n.p). The point is that the drugs that can save the lives of humans and harm animals. In the article “To Win The War on Cancer Dishonorably Discharge Tests on Animals” Frances Cheng that, 95% of drugs deemed safe for animals but did not work on humans (Cheng, n.p). This means that most of the products tested on animals were safe for animals but were not safe for humans. A study from “To Win The War on Cancer Dishonorably Discharge Tests on Animals” Frances Cheng showed, that “they have cured mice of cancer for decades but it simply didn’t work on humans” (Cheng, n.p). The point of this is to say that they cured mice of cancer but it didn’t work on humans because humans and animals are different. In conclusion, it is a fact that people should not be allowed to experiment on animals because it can harm the animals and help
humans.
The final reason people should not be allowed to experiment on animals is because some of the animals are left unprotected by the AWA (Animal Welfare Act). Critics argue that although some animals are left unprotected many of the animals are protected. The fact is there are more animals left unprotected than the animals that are protected. The study in “Animal Testing is Outdated, Imperfect” Ryan Ballinger, states, 95% of the animals tested on are left unprotected by the AWA (Ballinger, n.p). This means that almost all of the animals being tested don't get the care they need. The article “Animal Testing is Outdated, Imperfect” Ryan Ballinger states that, the AWA protects 1,134,693 animals, it leaves out over 25 million animals (Ballinger, n.p). What is being said is that so many animals are left unprotected. The article “Animal Testing is Outdated, Imperfect” Ryan Ballinger says, The 5% of the animals that are protected get housing, handling, sanitation, food, water, vet care, and protection from weather but the other 95% have none of that (Ballinger, n.p). What this is saying is that so many animals don't get the care they need. In conclusion, you can see that the AWA leaves so many animals unprotected. In conclusion, even if people think that people should be allowed to experiment on animals because it helps to know if they are safe, it is easy to see that animal testing should be stopped. This means that people should definitely not be allowed to experiment on animals because many animals are not being protected by the AWA, it may harm animals and help humans, and it can can toxic. Animals should not be locked in too small cages, poisoned with cancer, drugged and wishing they were dead, because any life no matter how small should matter.
