Communication Styles Worksheet
You spent the past few days exploring the resources available to students at University of Phoenix, and you want to share what you learned with a friend who is interested in enrolling.
* Write a 150- to 200-word e-mail to your friend summarizing the resources available to students. * * Hey, Becky! * * I just wanted to let you know about University of Phoenix and some of the things they have to offer. I know you have been considering attending here, and hopefully this information helps you decide. * * First of all, we have this great library! There are so many resources in the library that it may take a few days to just browse around. We even have access to a librarian to help us find literature on just about any subject, as long as it pertains to your studies. You can’t just ask about whales in Alaska because you’re planning an Alaskan cruise. In the library, you can also access CWE (Center for Writing Excellence), which helps with writing academic papers. It even has a program that checks for plagiarism. Another program “proofreads” your papers and offers feedback. School isn’t just about writing…we have to do math, too. So, we also have access to CME (Center for Mathematics Excellence). With CME, you can actually get tutoring to help you with math. There’s much more, but I have to study. Let me know if you have any questions! * * TTYL, * Amore * * * * * *
You asked your facilitator to review your e-mail draft. She liked what you wrote and asked you to write a summary to post in the class forum for the other students to read.
