Putting my biology and medical knowledge to practical use, I hope to solve important and critical health problems in the real world by contributing to the development of my country and returning something to the world.
My desire of delving to the world of biomedical science has been firmly rooted ever since I started studying A-level. Through my studies of Biology, I gained laboratory skills and attained some broad understandings of the scientific processes comprehensively. My daily routine of discovering the mind-blowing medical breakthroughs has made me feel much rewarded as a Science
student.
Excelling in the academic field, I won a certification of Distinction in the National Chemistry Quiz which anticipated my future in Science. I continued to take part in international competitions like UNSW Science and Australian Maths Competition. I truly appreciate the chances of getting some intellectual challenges. Being a committee member of the Whimsical Science Club, I work with a group of people with similar interests and broaden my scientific outlook by organizing programs and activities. Recently, I participated in the meal packaging event of Stop Hunger Now 2015 with the vision “Working Together To End World Hunger”. I found it enriching as I maintained knowledge of progress in the world outside. Likewise, with the increase in the occurrence and emergence of diseases , I am determined to play a fundamental role in the community to stop the spread of some life-threatening diseases and develop new treatments, drugs and vaccine for others. The experiences of being involved in the extra-curricular activities have brought me to a higher place. My involvement in all kinds of activities makes me able to think out of the box and appreciate everything around me.
I enjoy working towards ABRSM Grade 7 Piano. Yet I have never forgotten to keep myself healthy not only mentally but also physically, by participating in charity runs like Run For Her Life and Olympic Day.
For me, choosing to study in the UK from my country is about experiencing the opportunities and self-reliance that the university life will offer. To be referred as the class of healthcare professionals is something I have been longing for. Being a committed and capable student, I am ready to pursue the next level of my education and take on all the challenges that await me. This is the perfect opportunity for me to cultivate my natural interest in Science and have a fascinating career path in biomedicine. I am going to take a step closer towards achieving my ultimate goal; to become a biomedical scientist.
