I started advanced English and math in fourth grade, and still take advanced classes today. My two favorite subjects are math and science. I love how broad science is and how somehow, everything connects to form the world we live in. My favorite aspect of math is how definite it is. I am able to find ways to solve problems, and apply that method to different types of problems. The combination of science and math interests me, because it mixes a very concrete thing and an always-changing field of study. My two favorite subjects led me to a STEM degree, and I know I want math and science involved with my career. My main inspiration is loved ones; people I care about, some of the kindest people I've ever known, and fell victim to ugly sicknesses. For example, my beautiful aunt died of a combination of brain, liver, bone, and lung cancer. I want to find a way to help others in the same boat. No one deserves to have a slow, painful, undeserving death to something so hard to fight. And loved ones don't deserve to sit there, helplessly, and watch as another round of chemo failed to produce any good news. My main goal, if not to find the total cure for major sicknesses, is to at least find ways to make life easier to
