Orlando medical Institute (OMI) did not practice the use of current organizational trends, creating conflict and misunderstanding within and between departments.

The cognitive Dissonance, Social Exchange Theory, and Structuration Theory are the communication theories that apply to my scenario (Shockley-Zalabak, 2015).

The assumption made about OMI is that there is a lack in positive organizational communications. This is interdepartmental and organization wide.
