Unit 18 – Task 1 – M2

M2 – Analyse the arrangements made by an event organizer to plan a business event.

In this task I am going to be analyzing the arrangements made by an event organizer to plan a business. I am going to do this by identifying separate factors, saying how they are related and how each one contributes to the topic. In order to do so, I am going to use the cyclical process of management to aid my analysis.
The cyclical process of management is basically the process an event organizer goes through to plan a business event. This is how it works:

Cyclical Process of management:

The starting point of the cyclical process of management is to establish the context of the event by setting key objectives and aims. This helps to make sure everything is done to a certain standard, and helps to evaluate at the end if you have achieved what you aimed to achieve. For our task we where asked to prepare a plan for a business event. Firstly, we have to clarify the purpose of our event, and therefore, the purpose of me holding an event is to fulfill a criteria that is part of my btec assessment. We set objectives for the event we plan to hold, such as, To promote enterprise education, to complete the event by Christmas, to use soap box enterprise, to target primary school aged students, to make this event a success.
Secondly, in order to collect data and information that is acute to the planning of the event, an event brief is needed. Thus, the event brief for the soap enterprise is as follows: the type of event we have chosen is a non-routine, formal business educational event. It is a soap enterprise day for year 6 students at St’ Andrews Primary International School. This event will help students to be creative and interact with each other in a different field. It will also be a fun and memorable event for them.
