When he is showed the game room, a game the older kids are playing catches his eye, and within an hour of observing, decides “I could beat them…” (Card 46) and although he loses the first time, he redeems himself by beating the older kid twice right after. Demonstrating that Ender could achieve anything that he set him mind to. Also, when playing the mind game, Ender was relentless at passing the stage revolving around the Giant’s Drink.
