(SUBTITLE)
DAY 28.
INT. BEDROOM/THE HOUSE - MORNING
CHARLIE is sat in the corner of the bedroom with his head in his lap and his arms around his legs. He hasn't bathed or changed clothes since his encounter near the marsh. He's done all the chores, but he makes sure to get them done in the day, to which he then locks himself in his room during the night. Sat lost away in his own thoughts, he hears the sound of a car approaching towards the house. He knows it isn't MARY and her family because they don't come back for another couple days. CHARLIE hears the slamming of a car door and quickly gets up to look out the window and see who it is. But he is not quick enough and starts to hear knocking from the front door. CHARLIE walks out of the bedroom

CHARLIE
That's not what I meant.
SCARLET
Then what Charlie?
CHARLIE
I know I treated you like some prized possession. No one else could have you. I was selfish. Everything I wanted I had. For a while, I was so caught up in the midst of it all that I even thought I had found God in the flash of every camera. Fame.
CHARLIE begins to shed a tear from his eye.
CHARLIE
But I loved you. I truly did. I've forgotten how to be great. At this point, I really couldn't give a shit about making another movie. I don't want it anymore, the dreams and all the lights. I'm nothing without you.
SCARLET gets up and sits next to CHARLIE and hugs him to comfort him.
SCARLET
Now Charlie, don't say that. You've always been great, with or without me.
SCARLET grabs both of CHARLIE'S hands.
SCARLET
I know we've been through some very rough patches down the road. I know I can't forgive you for some of the things you did. But there's a part of me that will never stop loving you.
CHARLIE looks at SCARLET with a smile.
SCARLET
I want to start over. A new beginning. But that doesn't mean we're married again. Good things come to those who wait. I know you can be the great man you once were Charlie. That's the man I want to be married to, but in time. You will rise

It's if he has fallen in love all over again. All of a sudden, a crow flies directly into SCARLET'S left eye, piercing with its beak. SCARLET falls to the floor screaming in agonizing pain. CHARLIE tries to scare the crow away, but it wont stop picking away until her eye socket is empty. It then flies away, with her eye in its mouth. SCARLET is dead. CHARLIE begins to cry holding SCARLET'S lifeless body in his arms.
CHARLIE
(crying)
Scarlet?
All of sudden there is a loud cackling sound of manic laughter. CHARLIE turns his head around to see HEATHER creeping around the corner of the house cackling at him hysterically. CHARLIE immediately gets up leaving SCARLET'S corpse on the ground. He starts to chase HEATHER circles around the house. We see this from CHARLIE'S POV for a few moments. Then, CHARLIE finds himself running around the house by himself. He cannot see HEATHER anywhere. As he makes his way to the front of the house, he see's that SCARLET'S corpse and car are missing. Instantly confused. He runs inside the house.
JUMP CUT TO:
INT. LIVING ROOM
CHARLIE runs around the room desperately looking for his cellphone. Once he finds it, he tries to find SCARLET'S phone number. Panicking, he walks back and forth, biting his nails. He finds the number and puts into the landline phone in the room. He stands there desperately waiting for the ringing to stop. SCARLET answers the
