Abstract
The heart of serious Christian worldview is that we were created by a perfect and eternal God, who spoke the heaven and earth into existence, and created man in His image and likeness, thus, all mankind has the innate ability to do what is right and just. Man felled to fulfill the purpose of living right and just as God had intended for him. Therefore, God sent His only begotten Son, “Jesus” who took on the flesh of man, born of a virgin to come to earth to re-establish an eternal relationship of righteousness between God and man. I believe there is only one God, who created everything for his purpose and for his pleasure. God, the Father who is the creator of heaven and earth, and whom I and all humanity ultimately answer. As Paul exhorted the Corinthians he stated, “There may be so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life.” 1st Corinthians 8:5-6 …show more content…
In the first chapter of Genesis, God speaks the world into existence. He commands creation to bursts forth and it does, night and day, sun, moon, and stars, waters, creatures, and every living thing. But God’s creation of mankind is different. He created us in His own image and likeness, male and female. I am made in God image and likeness. Made with the innate ability to distinguish good and evil, right and wrong. Meaning that I was created to resemble His character. Before I was, “Adam and Eve” was, they bore the responsibility of living out God character. They failed to do so, therefore sin entered the world. Blemishing man’s image. Therefore, there was a necessity for a savior, to restore mankind back into covenant relationship with God the father. Therefore, God sent His only begotten Son, “Jesus” in the form of a human, born of the Virgin Mary, to restore the broken relationship between God and man. “The Son radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3 (NLT) Because of what Jesus did I am the righteousness of God through Jesus, I am no longer alienated from God and I am now an image
