College Admissions Essay: Why I Desire A College Education
There many reasons people desire a college education. The two main reasons are to make more money and those who want it as a life accomplishment. I am different than most people. As far back in my life as I can remember I have had a passion for learning. I can still feel the excitement of coming from the store with the flash cards of basic math equations. It felt so rewarding to get faster going through them knowing I was getting smarter, a feeling that is important for young kids.
Flash forward, and I still get that jittery feeling when I turn an assignment in before my classmates. It is even more rewarding when I see I earned an “A”. This passion for knowledge has grown past the walls of my high school. This is due, in part, to my increased
usage of the internet. There have been many evenings that I will go from one article to the next, soaking in the knowledge. Whether it is about the science behind the wiring in electrical systems, how computers work, or about sports techniques. I do not stop there either, I put this knowledge to use. Which is evidenced by my creation of a wireless bluetooth speaker, which used recycled wood and speakers, my hand-assembled powerful desktop computer, and my growth in shot put and discus.
My passion is what separates me from the others. I have always enjoyed gaining knowledge and taking the extra step to put it into action. My desire for a college education, rests in the hope that I will learn from the brightest minds, and put it into action to make a positive impact on my community and my family.
