In my opinion, living in a city with a moderate crime rate is tolerable, such as Madison. Once you enter into severe conditions with slums and treacherous neighborhoods around every corner, such as Milwaukee, it becomes a less than likely place to start a home. As a young adult attending college, it does not mean much whether the crime rate is less or more, as long as I’m relatively close to where I need to be each day, but as I enter into another stage of life, where I’m raising a family whom I care about deeply, it may become of greater relevancy. At that point, I may move to a smaller town, such as Columbus, in order to stay safe and closer to
