The Fresno Fair I have always loved my county fair in Tulare, CA. I love seeing all the different animals and aspects of agricultural together in one place. My most positive thought of my fair is educating outsiders about my animals. This was my first time walking thru the Fresno fair so it was a little different not being involved in the dairy barn. I was able to view the fair as an outsider in some way. This let me realize some major aspects and some things I have never realized about the fair. Some of the things I saw while at the fair was all the signs above the animals that tells people all about the animals. Another thing I saw was all the different things

On the night of November 8, 2010 the Cy-Fairs Board of Education members led by Dr.John Olgletree started out with the accomplishments of their schools athletics, art, dance, and literacy accomplishment thus far. From there they took a vote on whose name should represent one of the new schools that was in the process of being built in the Cy- Fair district. The former teacher Cheryl Salyards was in the running for her name to be on the school. Of the seven board members four of them voted for Cheryl Salyards. A teacher who had taught hearing impaired student for the past thirty-two years. I really thought that was the most interesting part of the meeting because I never knew how the school’s names were selected.…

When the Tulsa State Fair is taking over the city people go to ride rides, play games, and see what new weird food they have introduced this year. There is a part of the fair many people don't notice and if they do it's the smell the barns put off which often overpowers the smell of funnel cake, what I am talking about is the stock show. The stock show is where people from any age can come and show off their best animal, this ranges from your most fluffy rabbit to your fastest steer. The people who participate in these events spend countless hours training and preparing their animal for their ten minutes in the ring to see if the judges like their animal as much as they do. I personally showed beef cattle and I'm going to walk you through the steps of preparing one of these animals to show.…

This is probably the most stressful part of the year. We try to make the least amount of trips to the fair as possible but it's usually about five-six trips. This year and every year we have to put as many cages in the back of the truck as possible which is hard to arrange them all. After we have that all situated we have to catch all the birds, clean them and check them all to make sure that bird was the best bird to take. After we get all the birds, sheep, and rabbits there, and their pens are all set up we can't wait to get home, and take a late night swim in the…

The 1978 John Carpenter classic Halloween is my all time favorite film, both inside and outside the horror genre. Nothing in the Halloween franchise can come close to touching it, and although it does have some pretty impressive rivals in the form of Alien, The Shining, Scream, and It Follows, Halloween in my opinion still comes out on top as the best modern horror film in history. It's influence and ability to captivate and terrify, not to mention the craft and simple but elegant plotting behind it, are the reasons for its' lasting legacy. However, all of that aside, the 1978 original was not the first horror film I watched as a kid, or even the first Halloween film I watched. The title belongs to…

There were so many stages and people. Lights, music and lots of commotion. The first band we saw was just so amazing and it really was a great start to the day. We danced and sang and had such a great time. I even ran into some childhood friends I had not seen in years. I felt so good that I could be part of this festival and it made me feel good to see people coming together for the music.…
